So, I've been playing around with classic comic book forms for a couple weeks now. I've decided that I don't like it. The whole tragic hero thing, doesn't cut it for me. I want my character to be a bad ass with an attitude. He'll get it handed to him sometimes, but he can take it. At the end of the day, what is good and just prevails, and the bad guy is laying in the dust. That's a super hero.

So I took my ideals and went to the sketchbook. What I got was something that I feel pushed my boundaries as an artist. I have been producing works over the last couple weeks, that are better than anything I have before. This is the best one so far. I hope to continue producing illustrations like this one, possibly even pursue the creation of a small comic strip. Toss some aliens in there, guns and a back story then blam-o. Game over.
