Just as our transportation systems move people around, the internet moves around information. Searching through the photos I've taken over the past year, I found a particularly interesting photograph that was taken during the time I spent in Hong Kong. This photo demonstrates the simplicity within the complexity of the transportation system. A city as densely populated as Hong Kong requires intricate transportation systems. The internet, like the world's great transportation systems, seems incredibly straightforward but is in fact incredibly complicated. This concept is demonstrated in my illustration of a transportation system, which I used as an advertisement for my freelance web design work. The photo was taken through a dirty tram window and lacked clarity, but that is exactly what drove me to illustrate it.

Hey!
Cal, looks awesome! Great job!
Cable Car/Onramp Vector
The primary colours work well because you're used to seeing them on transit maps. I also like how the straight lines of the cables contrast the curvilinear ramp.
I do sort of wish you added something of your own -- rather than just tracing the photo. Still cool though.
Thanks for the comment!
Vanishing Points and Adobe Illustrator as well as Acorns Ahoy were both done without a photographic reference. I have been using a photographic reference recently to help hone my skill with the pen tool.
