As a design student, Figment is my creative space that I will be using to display some of my own work, on the internet. But, let me not get to far ahead of myself, it is very nice to meet you, I'm Calvin. I live in Toronto, pursuing a lifestyle I've been dreaming of for my entire life. Well, maybe not me entire life, but since around twelve.
When I was around that age, my best buddy Zach got a birthday present from his dad. It was a book, on how to program HTML. He was bragging to me at school the next day that he was a pro web programmer. We were pretty competitive, so we made a bet. Something to the order of millions of dollars, that I could not get better than him. I think I may say, although some may differ, that I have come further than he has in this endeavor. I have yet to squeeze a penny out of him.
Once I felt comfortable with HTML, I moved on little by little, throughout both elementary and secondary school, learning little tidbits of what we people call web design. I enrolled in the one year certificate Art and Design Foundation at George Brown College in Toronto Ontario last year. I spend last summer doing a research project for the college on Drupal and Web CMS technologies. I have now moved into their 3 year Graphic Design program.
Please read on, let me induce your senses with all that I have created in this little known place called the internet. I hope you get what your looking for, although I'm still just growing, there might not be as much here as I'd hoped. Much more to come.
